Hugo de Ana's production, in which the Roman amphitheater of the Arena in Verona becomes a huge garden of love, a maze of hedges and giant roses, as a place for the intrigues of the most famous and beloved melodrama of Gioachino Rossini , enriched by the fun choreography of Leda Lojodice and characterized by the suggestive and gigantic roses that frame the history of Rosina, Conte d'Almaviva and the Figaro factotum.
On the podium, the famous conductor Daniel Oren, who for the first time directs Rossini's masterpiece in the Arena. With the addition of seeing for the first time together, Nucci and Furlanetto: two opera legends on the stage of the Arena. The barber of Seville is undoubtedly the title of Rossini best known and loved in the world, but also in the amphitheater of Verona from the first three performances of 1948: exactly 70 years ago.
